Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs

All-terrain stroller that is lightweight, durable and offers great maneuverability.  3 wheeled pushchair  using one hand makes it simple to transport. It also stands on its own when folded. The cushioned seat reclines to a near-flat position, and there's a huge storage bin and canopy. Newborn suitability: Yes it comes with a carrycot (not suitable for sleeping overnight).

Good suspension and air-filled tyres can handle rough terrain. It's also suitable for jogging but you must wait until your baby is at least six or nine months old before doing this.

Ickle Bubba Air

This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is an excellent choice for parents who want an easy-to-use buggy that has enhanced features. It comes as a travel system, which includes a lie-flat carrycot for newborns, a multi-position forward and rear-facing pushchair seat as well as a choice of a group 0+ car seat, so you can have everything you need in one package.

The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It's easy to understand why it has received the highest praise from its customers. It's extremely light - the chassis and wheels weigh just 6.5kg and it's easy to construct. In fact, I was able to put it up and running in just five minutes, which is pretty amazing considering that it also included a strapping of the fabric for the carrycot!

The seat is wide and comfortable for Annie, who is just 12 months old. The recline lever was simple to operate. The basket has plenty of room and I am impressed that the handle bar has a pocket to keep your keys and phone safe.

The handlebar is a bit low, which could be a problem for parents who are taller. However, it's coated in a gorgeous leather-like material that's soft and comfy and wipes down easily, so it's still easy to push with children and bags on your hands!

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is designed for parents who like to explore and are always on the go. The large pneumatic wheels are able to be utilized on field and forest paths. The front wheel is lockable and can be swiveled to allow for greater flexibility. It also comes with a cushioned 5-point safety harness and a front bar to ensure your child is safe on all trips, while the parking brake effectively stops the stroller from moving even when you are taking a break. The seat can be adjusted to lay down and the canopy can be opened to allow for maximum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm to fit mum or dad.

The Runner will accompany you on all your adventures whether it's a leisurely run, a more strenuous hike, or a long-distance walk. It has a fully-flat lay-flat seat with suspension air wheels that provide an easy ride. The front wheel can be locked to provide more stability on narrow streets or crowded sidewalks. The stroller is also able to fold up to fit in car boot spaces or storage spaces.

Some parents have reported that the Runner 2 to be a little more difficult to navigate than its predecessor, and the locking system is less user-friendly (requiring two buttons on the opposite side of the push bar). The handlebar is higher than other strollers', so it might not be suitable for parents with shorter arms, but overall this is a sturdy and versatile stroller that is worthy of consideration for families with active kids.

Red Kite Push Me walking

The Pace is another great offering from Red Kite, an affordable British brand that is known for its simple and well-designed essentials for parenting. It's their latest and the most expensive addition to the budget-friendly stroller line. Similar to the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo it's car seat compatible, meaning you can use it from the time of birth.

The new Pace features some stunning design features, including the rose gold hue to the hood, chassis and stroller trims that really set it apart from its competitors. The stroller and car seat fabrics are stylish in grey, tan, and cream. You can also add a leather handle and bumper bar to complement.

The stroller seat can be used from birth until a maximum weight of 22kg. It converts easily into a reversible 2-in-1 position, which is either parent-facing or world-facing. The stroller seat features various lie-back positions, softly padded legs rests and an extendable sun canopy with zip-off sections that are concealed, a viewing see-through flap, and retractable visor.

When folded, the Pace measures 56 33cm x 43cm x 32cm which is perfect for hand luggage on Easyjet and Ryanair. It's also a breeze to fold, thanks to two buttons on the handlebar's opposite side that you can click into and pop up.

Bugaboo Fox 5

Created to be the ultimate all-terrain stroller, Bugaboo's new Fox 5 promises to do everything. Its unique chassis, coupled with a shorter wheel-distance makes it more agile than its predecessor. I tried it out with my two children - an eight-week-old and a toddler - on rocky pavements, grassy wooded walks and even cobblestones.

The puncture-proof wheels are huge in size - 22cm and a whopping 30cm - which means they can handle all kinds of terrain. They also come with a handy flap that can open or closes to allow more air to enter should you need it, which is a nice touch. It is a little bigger than some pushchairs, but it isn't heavy or bulky when pushing it across bumpy surfaces.

The fabric of the seat is machine washable, and the frame and faux leather grips are simple to wipe down. It's also quieter than some pushchairs, and I felt confident using it in busy city streets. It comes with accessory points, so you can attach parasols and footmuffs as well as changing bags, snack trays, and even snack tray. The hood can be used to block rain and wind, however it's not waterproof. It's a single pram, but you can attach their Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) to give your child some extra legroom. The bassinet took around 20 minutes to set-up and it took the same amount of time to transform it into a seat.

UPPAbaby Ridge

No matter if you're enjoying an early morning run under the stars or a moonlit walk in the crisp air, the UPPAbaby Ridge turns every moment into a shared experience. This stroller that is all-terrain designed to keep you and your child active.

The large 12" and 16" foam-filled tires provide a smooth ride, no matter the terrain. The suspension technology is patent-pending, allowing you to glide across paths in the woods with less impact on your child's legs and rear. The performance disc handbrake allows you to stop quickly, even when jogging on an uphill slope.

The Ridge is at home in all city scenes including bustling farmers' markets to the street musicians playing music. The large basket can accommodate all your essentials as well as market purchases, while the large canopy provides protection from wind and sun. The front canopy can be opened to reveal two mesh peekaboos, which allow you to watch your baby.

The Ridge's reversible seat lets you choose whether your child faces you, or the world ahead. Its simple foot brake system makes it easy for new parents. The reversible handlebar is a wonderful feature that lets you adjust it to suit your height. In contrast to other strollers for jogging, the Ridge's fold is stable and stays upright when folded.

iCandy Core

The new iCandy pushchair comes with a variety of features that will be awe-inspiring to parents. It features a Multi-Mode wheelbase and a revolutionary LED Visibility Hub Light, which is an industry first. It features a built-in Ride-on Board that saves on future costs, and allows tired toddlers to join the family when they go on excursions.

The Core can be purchased as a stand-alone unit or as a complete travel system. it works with most popular car seats from brands like Cybex, Maxi Cosi and Joie. As with all iCandy pushchairs it is beautifully designed and features premium knitted jersey fabrics. The parent's adjustable handlebar and child's bumper bar that can be detached are made from soft leatherette, and the folded calf support can be super comfortable for children.

It was amazing how quickly it folded and collapsed even with the seat unit still attached. It is also easy to fit into your hallway and boot, making it perfect to travel with. The iCandy Core comes with lots of extra accessories, including a colour matching changing rucksack and a footmuff/liner.
